Even though we are still desperately trying to reach cooler temperatures, I just had to fall-ify the front door to make me feel just a little bit better about it being October here in the desert. I originally saw this idea via ChrisLovesJulia.com and today I wanted to share with you a simple DIY fall welcome mat that I put my own spin on. While it’s not perfect (first timer here guys), I loved the end result. Now I just need that farmhouse with the front porch and steps for next year… wink!
Keep scrolling to get a peek into this fun DIY project and also to catch where I found all of my pieces and supplies. That buffalo check rug layered underneath? Goodness gracious, it puts a smile on my face every time I see it. Happy Fall, ya’ll!
Here is your supply list!
Black planters (I found them years ago at Target and are no longer sold, but I did find these that are almost identical)
Alphabet stencil (purchased at Michael’s, but not sold online. Here is a similar set – same size and style)
