To say that our family adores a good grilled cob of corn is an understatement. And especially this time of year! I wanted to make sure and share with you our family’s recipe for the best and easiest grilled corn on the cob that you will want to add to your summer grub list.
First off, you want to soak your cobs in cold water for 15 to 20 minutes. This will help the husks not burn when they are on the grill.
After that, spend a little time peeling back the husks and removing the silks. You don’t want to pull the husks off, but do your best to peel them down a bit.
Then simply melt one stick of butter and season it in a separate bowl with salt and pepper. You will then want to use a basting brush to apply the buttered mixture to your cobs. And you will want to brush generously.
Once you have done that, simply gather the husks back onto your cobs and wrap each cob individually in foil. This is going to help your corn steam instead of burn.
Make sure you have heated your grill on a medium heat and place each of your cobs on there for 20 minutes. We usually rotate the cobs at the 10 minute mark.
Take them off the grill and remove the foil. I always add more of the butter mixture after removing the husks and before serving.
Easy and delicious and an absolute crowd favorite. Hope you enjoy!
– corn on the cobs (your desired amount)
– 1 stick of butter
– aluminum foil
Soak your cobs in cold water for 20 minutes
Fire up your grill to a medium heat level
Pull down the husks on your cobs to remove the silks
Melt one stick of butter in a separate bowl and then season with desired amount of salt and pepper
Apply butter mixture to each cob with a basting brush
Gather up the husks and wrap each cob in aluminum foil
Place on grill for 10 minutes
Rotate each cob and cook for another 10 minutes
Remove your cobs from the grill and unwrap
Apply more of your butter mixture before serving
